Booking ski insurance at the last minute

Still in the UK

Planning for any ski trip requires you to plan ahead and if you only realise at the last minute that you dont have ski insurance, then we can help.

Provided you have not crossed into mainland Europe/Ireland, then we can issue a policy for your journey and you can do this online or via our call centre. Documents will then automatically be emailed to you.

Already abroad

Forgot to book your ski insurance before you left, its more common than you think.

In the rush to get ready for a ski trip, you think you have covered all the bases and then having cleared customs, picked up your bags and you´re making your way up the mountain on the transfer bus, someone mentions ski insurance and you think "Ahhhhh"

Don't worry we can help.

Ski Insurance booked within the first 7 days of your trip

We have policies that will provide full cover with no exclusions commencing the day after you purchased the ski insurance policy. This caveat is for obvious reasons and is designed to stop people insuring only once they have had an incident or injured themselves and require immediate assistance.

This option to cover you after you have departed is available to any EEA residents and for ease they are listed as residents of;

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

The policies are sold under the basis that you are registered with a doctor in your home country. All policy wordings will be in English and Claims will be settled in pounds sterling.

Ski insurance booked after the first 7 days of your trip

Now the case above is for those who travelled and are taking out a policy within 7 days of leaving their home country in the EEA, however if you have been abroad more than 7 days or if you are abroad and have a policy that has expired and you need extend the cover then we too can help.

Policy will commence the day after the policy has been bought and you will be covered for all eventualities apart from illness. You are covered for accidents immediately, so if you fall off your bike or have a crash skiing then you are covered from the day after the policy is purchased but there is no cover for illness for the first 14 days after cover is purchased.

In the policy wording an illness is defined as any disease, infection or bodily disorder which is unexpectedly contracted by you whilst on your trip or unexpectedly manifests itself for the first time during your trip. This is the only policy restriction in place for ski insurance policies bought more than 7 days after you have left home,
