Soll - Information

Resort Information Soll

Soll has been a favourite for the British for many years. It is a picturesque Tyrolean resort filled with Austrian charm and character, below the beautiful Wilder Kaiser mountains. A stroll around the village centre, with its shops, bars and cafes is delightful. The village although lively at times, has a friendly atmosphere, which makes it a good location for adults and also for a family holiday. The resort is part of the vast Ski Welt ski area, so there is plenty to do on the slopes too. So whether you are skiing or riding for a whole week or even just over a weekend break you will find plenty to enjoy and with a vast array of chalets and hotels there is accommodation to suit all budgets.Soll is at the heart of The Ski Welt, which is the largest ski area in Austria, with over 250km of slopes. The excellent lift system provides access to a wide range of slopes catering for all abilities. If skiing all day is not enough, some evenings there is also floodlit skiing on offer. The resort is a superb choice for beginners, with some lovely nursery slopes close to the village and some gentle blue runs. There is some wonderful terrain for intermediates, with a vast array of tree-lined trails all over the Ski Welt area. There are quite a few short runs, including the 8km long run Hohe Salve down to Itter. With lots to explore there is plenty to keep most skiers busy for a week or more. More advanced skiers will probably look to hire a Guide and go in search of some challenges off-piste.
